Terms of Use — Choosr

The short version Choosr is a tool. It helps you pick between two of your own photos using an AI partner. You're free to use it however helps you, but the verdict is a suggestion, not a fact — you decide what to post. Don't run automated copies of it, don't feed it photos you don't have rights to, and don't sue us for picking the photo you didn't agree with. Credits are non-refundable except through Apple's standard refund process.

1. Agreement

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Choosr iOS application and the supporting website at letschoosr.com (together, the "Service"). The Service is operated by Ahmet Mert Öz, an individual developer based in Bursa, Türkiye ("we", "us", "our"). By installing or using the Service you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the Service.

The way we handle data is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

2. What Choosr is

Choosr is an AI-assisted photo comparison tool. You select two photos and a category (Dating, Professional, Social Media, or General). The Service forwards the photos to an AI partner that returns a structured verdict — a suggested winner, a confidence score, and short reasons why. The verdict is meant to help you decide; it is not a definitive judgment of your worth, attractiveness, or career prospects.

3. Eligibility

You must be old enough to use the App Store in your jurisdiction and to enter into a contract. If you're under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian must read and accept these Terms on your behalf.

4. Anonymous use and device-bound credits

Choosr does not require an account. There is no sign-up, no email, no password. Your credit balance and your comparison history live on your device. If you uninstall the app you may lose access to remaining purchased credits unless you restore purchases in a reinstall on the same Apple ID (Apple's "Restore Purchases" mechanism). Credits are tied to your App Store Apple ID via in-app purchase records.

5. Credits and purchases

How it works. The first time you install Choosr you receive 3 free comparison credits. After that, additional credits are sold as one-time, non-renewing consumable in-app purchase packs (Single, Small, Medium, Large). There are no subscriptions.
Pricing. Prices are shown in the App Store paywall in your local currency. Apple sets the regional price tiers and may adjust them. The price shown at the time of purchase is the price you pay.
Credit expiry. Credits do not expire. They remain available on the Apple ID that purchased them.
Refunds. All purchases are processed by Apple. Refund requests are handled through Apple's standard process at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue refunds directly. If you believe a purchase was made in error or the app failed to deliver, contact us at support@letschoosr.com and we'll do our best to help, but Apple is the merchant of record.
Failed analyses. If a comparison fails for a technical reason on our side, no credit is consumed. Credits are only debited when a verdict is successfully returned.

6. Acceptable use

When you use Choosr, you agree:

You will only submit photos that you own, that you took, or that you have permission to use for this purpose.
You will not submit photos of other people without their knowledge and consent.
You will not submit photos that are illegal under the law that applies to you — including, without limitation, child sexual abuse material (CSAM), non-consensual intimate imagery, content that incites violence or terrorism, or content that infringes someone else's intellectual property.
You will not use Choosr to harass, defame, or threaten anyone.
You will not attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, modify, or build a competing service from the Service or its outputs.
You will not run scripts, bots, scrapers, or any automated tools against the Service. The backend uses Apple App Attest to verify that requests come from the genuine, untampered Choosr app; bypassing this is a violation of these Terms.

Violating any of these rules can result in suspension or termination of access to the Service, and may be reported to the appropriate authorities.

7. AI output disclaimer

The verdict Choosr returns is generated by an AI model. AI models are powerful but imperfect — they can be confidently wrong, miss nuance, reflect biases in their training data, and sometimes contradict themselves. The verdict is offered as a suggestion to help you decide; it is not professional advice, it is not a guarantee of how anyone will react to your photo, and it does not say anything about you as a person.

You are solely responsible for the photos you choose to post, share, or use in any context — dating profiles, professional networks, social media, anywhere. We do not endorse, vouch for, or take responsibility for the outcomes of decisions you make based on the verdict.

8. Service integrity

To keep the Service running affordably and to protect it from abuse, the backend will reject requests that don't come from a genuine copy of the Choosr app on a real iOS device. This is implemented via Apple App Attest. If your device fails attestation (for example, on jailbroken devices) the Service may be unavailable. We do not store the attestation token and it does not identify you personally.

We may rate-limit, throttle, or temporarily disable access if usage patterns suggest abuse. We will try to do this in a way that does not punish ordinary users.

9. Intellectual property

Your photos. You own your photos. We claim no ownership of them. By submitting photos to the Service you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to process them for the sole purpose of returning a verdict to you. This license is exhausted as soon as the verdict is delivered.

Our app. Choosr, including its source code, design, brand, name, logo, and the structure of its prompts and verdicts, is owned by Ahmet Mert Öz and protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to use the Choosr brand or to copy the app.

Verdicts. The verdict text and the insights returned by the AI are presented to you for your personal, non-commercial use. You may share the verdict freely (for example, screenshot it, post it on social media, send it to a friend). You may not bulk-extract verdicts to train another model or build a competing service.

10. No warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without any warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or will produce any particular result.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you have paid us for the Service in the twelve months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one thousand Turkish Lira (₺1,000). We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages — including but not limited to lost profits, lost opportunities, or damage to reputation — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of (a) photos you submitted to the Service that you did not have the right to submit, (b) your violation of these Terms, or (c) your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.

13. Termination

You can stop using Choosr at any time by uninstalling the app. We can suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms or if continued operation becomes commercially or technically unviable. Where we shut down the Service entirely, we will give reasonable advance notice on the website. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, liability limits, and governing law — will survive.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Bursa, Türkiye. If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, you may also have the right to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence, and the consumer protection laws of your country of residence will continue to apply where they are more favorable.

15. Changes

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves or as the law requires. If we make a material change we will update the "Last updated" date at the top and, where appropriate, surface a notice inside the app or on the website. Continued use of the Service after the change becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
